Lynbrook Junior Fire Department hosts annual charity car wash fundraiser

The Lynbrook Junior Fire Department continued a longtime summer tradition by hosting its annual charity car wash at the Earle Avenue parking lot, raising money for a local cause.

Residents and firefighters stopped by to have their vehicles washed and make donations, with all proceeds benefiting a local organization or family in need. The recipient will be announced in September.

“The car wash has become a tradition for our junior firefighters and a great way for them to give back to the community,” department spokesman Steve Grogan said. “It’s inspiring to see them volunteer their time each summer to help others.”

The fundraiser has been held for nearly a decade and gives junior members an opportunity to serve the community while supporting a worthy cause.
