Malverne School District proudly celebrates three outstanding Malverne High School students who were recently recognized for their exceptional leadership, civic engagement and academic excellence.

On May 17, seniors Jasmine Lugo and Zamari Paul were honored by Assemblywoman Judy Griffin with the Student Standout Award during a special ceremony at the Rockville Centre Recreation Center.

This distinct recognition celebrates young leaders who demonstrate a profound commitment to making a positive difference within their school community. Both Jasmine and Zamari were selected for their exceptional leadership qualities, dedication to fostering inclusiveness and active civic engagement.

They serve as shining examples of peers who lift up those around them every day.

The accolades continued May 19, when senior Geoffrey Gross was honored at the Nassau Science Teachers Association of New York State Science Award Dinner. Geoffrey received the 2026 Outstanding Science Student Award, an accolade that recognizes his incredible hard work, intellectual curiosity and sustained academic excellence in the field of science.

“We extend our congratulations to Jasmine, Zamari and Geoffrey for their remarkable achievements and for representing the very best of Malverne High School,” district reps said.
