The Malverne school district welcomed a group of new educators Aug. 25 during its annual New Teacher Orientation ahead of the start of the school year.
The orientation included workshops introducing new faculty members to the district’s mission, educational philosophy, academic initiatives, curriculum and classroom expectations. Educators also met with district administrators, including Superintendent Maria Rianna and Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services Vincent Romano.
New staff members took a guided bus tour of the district’s schools and met with student leaders, who shared their experiences and perspectives on student life and classroom engagement.
“We are thrilled to welcome our newest educators into the Malverne family,” said Dr. Rianna. “Each of these professionals brings unique talent, dedication and enthusiasm to our schools, and we look forward to the positive impact they will have on our students and community in the year ahead.”
The district welcomed Alexa Adduci, Salvatore D’Ambrosio, Mary Fills, Danielle Lasher, Grace Lipponer, Jenna Loew, Gavin Ludricks, Francesca Marchese, Nathaniel Ormond, Maria Patamarapipen, Jessica Pedroza, Lourdes Perez, Amaya Poole, Sofia Sangiorgio and Sophia Villegas.
The new educators will serve across the district, including Malverne High School, Davison Avenue Intermediate School and Maurice W. Downing Primary School.
