The fields surrounding Eisenhower Park’s Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre were filled with families, community members and supporters on June 14 as Long Island Israeli-American Night brought together residents from across the region for an evening of music, culture and celebration.

The free event, held from 5 to 8 p.m., was hosted by Sid Jacobson JCC in partnership with UJA-Federation of New York and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island. Organizers described it as one of the largest public celebrations of Israel on Long Island, bringing together families, community leaders and supporters from across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The program blended live music, cultural pride and communal solidarity at a time when many in the Jewish community continue to express concern over rising antisemitism and the ongoing impact of the war in Israel.

This year’s featured performers included Israeli singer Noam Buskila, Israeli-American a cappella group Six13, and Alon Ohel, an artist and Oct. 7 hostage survivor. Attendees gathered for an evening of music, dancing and community engagement overlooking the lake at Eisenhower Park.

In addition to the live performances, attendees enjoyed opportunities to connect with local organizations and community groups while celebrating Israeli heritage and culture in a family-friendly atmosphere.

The event was made possible through the support of Sid Jacobson JCC, UJA-Federation of New York and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island. Organizers also acknowledged the support of numerous community partners, sponsors and participating organizations from throughout the region.

Security measures were in place throughout the evening to help ensure a safe and welcoming experience for attendees.

Long Island Israeli-American Night continued a growing tradition of public celebrations highlighting Israeli culture, resilience and the strong ties between Long Island’s Jewish community and Israel.
