The community and first responders gathered outside Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital on Sunday night to show their appreciation for doctors, nurses and other frontline medical staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
Some yielding signs and wearing masks, the group cheered on hospital staff from a social distance. Members of the staff came to the hospital’s entranceway to greet those gathered at the rally to support them.
The rally was done to show medical professionals, health care workers and essential staff members that the community appreciates their hard work, dedication and effort in treating patients during a global pandemic.
