A Seaford man has been indicted on first-degree murder charges for allegedly stabbing his parents to death inside their family’s Bethpage deli in December.

Vito Dambrosio, 30, was arraigned Tuesday before Judge Howard Sturim on a grand jury indictment charging him with first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly announced. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded. He is due back in court Jan. 30.

If convicted, Dambrosio faces life in prison without parole.

Angela Pulisciano, 62, and Antonio Dambrosio, 70, were killed Dec. 4 at A&A Italian Deli and Pizza on Hicksville Road. Prosecutors say their son entered the store around 9:11 a.m. and stabbed both with a 14-inch chef’s knife in front of customers.

Pulisciano was pronounced dead at the scene. Antonio Dambrosio was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he died an hour later.

According to prosecutors, Vito called 911 after the attack and waited outside the store to be arrested. His hands and clothing were covered in blood, police said.

“These beloved business owners were viciously attacked in broad daylight, allegedly by their own son,” Donnelly said. “Their tragic loss has been heartbreaking to the many customers who frequented their store over the years.”
