A Seaford woman was arrested and charged with arson following a domestic dispute at a Neptune Avenue home on April 10, according to Nassau County police.
Officers responded to the house at 8:14 p.m. for a report of a disturbance, police said. They were informed that a 59-year-old woman had been involved in a verbal argument with a 63-year-old man.
Police said the argument escalated, and the woman allegedly began throwing items at the man before threatening to burn the house down. Authorities said she then lit a pillow on fire.
The fire was extinguished before officers arrived, and no injuries were reported.
Following an investigation, officers located the woman, identified as Lisa Decaprio, and placed her under arrest without incident. She was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, police said.
Decaprio is charged with arson and harassment. She is scheduled to be arraigned April 11 at First District Court in Hempstead.
