A plan to demolish the UA Lynbrook 6 movie theater on Merrick Road and build a much larger theater complex in its place was presented to the public at a village board meeting on Aug. 12. Portions of a script describing the inner workings of an Italian crime family, written by Kennedy High School graduate Lee Kolinsky, were brought to life in his hometown when parts of “Send No Flowers” were filmed in two locations in Merrick last fall.
