106 selected for All-County honors oncerts at Tilles Center, Jan. 11-12

The students, who were selected on the basis of both auditions and teacher recommendations, will be showcasing their choral, band and orchestral skills at the three All-County Music Festival concerts to be held at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on the C.W. Post College campus.
Seventh and eighth graders throughout Nassau County perform on Friday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m.; ninth and 10th graders on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m.; and 11th-12th graders on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.
This is the 66th year for the All-County Music Festival.
Central High School
Thirty-one students were chosen from Central High School.
In the 11th-12th grade division: Robert DelPriore, Franklin Leung, Jennifer McCormack, Matthew O'Neill, Sheena Ogando, Stacey Pappas, Christopher Pascual, Billy Rivera, Toni Rosenbaum, Jamie Tracey, Andrew Yang, Deborah Yang, Rachel Zito in the choruses; Christine Barcellino (clarinet), William Gagstetter (tenor sax), Christopher Kiefel (bass clarinet), Kristin Sarli (oboe), Meghan Skira (trombone) in the band; Michael Donaghy (trumpet), Louis Tedesco (trumpet) in the jazz band; Peter Tai (violin) and Andrew Yang (violin) in the orchestra.
In the 9th-10th grade division: Jennifer Dewing, Brent Larson, Shawn Rajan, Daryl Yasay in the mixed chorus; Samantha Hummel (French horn), Brian Kennedy (trumpet) in the band; Christopher Gagstetter (trombone) in jazz band; Darrell Cheng (violin), Jeffrey Milner (percussion) in the orchestra.
Memorial Junior High
Memorial Junior High's 18 students selected were:
In the 9th-10th grade division, Tiffany Kataria, Kevin Russo in the mixed chorus; Daniel Hahl (chosen for both bass clarinet and tenor sax) in the band; Marisa DelCampo (violin) in the orchestra.
In the 7th-8th grade division, Brian Gersitz, Woong Hwangbo, Maxine Joven, Nadia Singh, Matthew Stirrat, Christina Wamboldt in the chorus; Alexei Lee (bass clarinet), Michael LoCoco (euphonium) in the band; Joseph Funch (trombone) in the jazz band; Brian Berghorn (French horn), Ron Li (viola), Jameson Morgan (trombone), Sarah Weiss (cello) in the orchestra.
North High School
North High School has 33 students chosen to perform.
In the 11th-12th grade division are: Cara Mannion, Nancy Vuong in the women's chorus; Alison Carter (piccolo), David Chen (clarinet) in the band; Vincent Raniolo (guitar) in the jazz band; Marie McManus (viola) in the orchestra.
In the 9th-10th grade division are: Mallory Duncan, Matthew Gawronski, Kimberly Lavin, Jordan Marmara in the choruses; Nicole Brigagliano (bassoon), Christina Bruno (clarinet), Carolyn Hempel (flute), Edward Jacobian (euphonium), Peter Sticco (trumpet) in the band; Franklin DeFelice (trombone), Mallory Duncan (French horn), Lauren Hecker (oboe), Stephen Koumos (French horn), Liang Zhou (violin) in the orchestra.
In the 7th-8th grade division are: Jonathan Baldasare, Alexandra Crisafi, Melissa LaMattina, Kevin Meyer in the chorus; Jonathan Alter (percussion), Krista Carter (trumpet), Brendan King (tuba), Conner Viggiano (euphonium) in the band; Nicholas Carter (trombone), Caitlin Donaghy (alto sax), Heather Fishetti (trombone) in the jazz band; Ben Cohen (oboe), Jane Yu (violin) in the orchestra.
South High School
Selected from South High School were 24 student musicians.
In the 11th-12th grade division: Harvey Chan, Megan Conti, Brian Devine in the choruses; Brian Farhi (clarinet), Amie Kraus (flute), Jamie Schiffer (flute), Matthew Toscano (French horn) in the band; Elizabeth Weinbloom (violoncello) in the orchestra.
In the 9th-10th grade division: Jonathan Brutus, Paul Ianniello, Anna Koltunov, Andrew Lim, Joshua Merlis, Samantha Pierre, Samantha Sensale, Vanessa Spica, Cory Vogel in the mixed chorus; Jordan Epstein (trumpet), Robert Valletti (tuba) in the band; Gene Park (violin) in the orchestra.
In the 7th-8th grade division: Jenny Weinbloom in the chorus; Kevin Caballes (percussion), Sara Santner (clarinet) in the band; Amy Ragone (violin) in the orchestra.
12 selected for LI String Festival
In addition, three seventh graders were selected to perform in the Long Island String Festival concert for fifth through seventh graders, which is coming up on Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. at Massapequa High School. They are violinists Peter Olson from South High School, Jane Yu from North and Wilson Yu from Memorial Junior High.
The Long Island String Festival concert for eighth through 12th graders on November 4 at Syosset Middle School included nine string musicians from the Valley Stream High School District. They were violinists Liang Zhou and Irch-Alain Charles from North High School; Ron Li (viola) and Marissa DelCampo (violin) from Memorial; Elizabeth Weinbloom (cello), Stephanie Stravinskas (cello) and Gene Park (violin) from South; and Andrew Yang (violin) and Peter Tai (violin) from Central.
