The officers saw a large number of people exiting the rear of the building.
Police entered through the rear of the club, and observed fighting and overcrowded conditions. They requested backup from the Nassau County and Lynbrook police departments. Meanwhile, the fighting moved to Rapture's front entrance, and a window in a neighboring storefront, at 220 Sunrise Highway, was broken.
Officers subsequently arrested Kasaun White and Carl Perryman of Old Mill Court and charged them with disorderly conduct. Perryman was also charged with resisting arrest.
Rapture owner Jeffrey Rumman was issued an appearance ticket to Rockville Centre Village Court for having a disorderly premise. Officers estimated that there were more than 450 people inside the club, which has a maximum occupancy of 298.
The ticket is returnable to Village Court at 6 p.m. on Feb. 6.
A referral was also made to the Alcoholic Beverage Control division of the New York State Liquor Authority reporting the disturbance, the arrests and Rumman's appearance ticket.
