The Wantagh Farmer’s Market opened for business on Sunday, July 29. Vendors sold everything from local Long Island wood items and essential oils to produce and baked goods, according to Karen Lofgren, the farmer’s market committee chair and member of the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce. Karen said every Sunday, a chamber member will attend the market, greeting residents and answering questions people may have about the chamber’s responsibilities. The market runs from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Sunday through Nov. 11 and is located at the corner of Sunrise Highway and Oakland Ave., on the east side of the Wantagh Long Island Rail Road parking lot.
