A fine day to frolic in East Rockaway

Posted

The Huckleberry Frolic, a longtime tradition in the Village of East Rockaway, was held on June 7 — a sunny spring day, just perfect for such an event.

Parades, rides, rope bridges, cotton candy, arts and crafts trivia quizzes and contests for the kids were among the highlights of the event.

Carolyn Ferretti, a longtime co-chairperson of East Rockaway’s Grist Mill Museum Committee, and volunteer in the village, was sorely missed. She died this spring after a long illness.
