A Rockville Centre bond that’s grown stronger over the years as it lengthens

A group of local 1948 South Side High School alumnae, and a friend, have been breaking bread together for more than a decade. It all started when they began meeting for lunch every month. Over time the group grew and its members decided to change their meetings to dinner at various restaurants, so they could spend more time together.

In the photo, taken recently at Ayhan’s Shish Kebob in Baldwin, are, from left, Ann Macken from Rockville Centre, Nancy Andromidas from Freeport, Marge DeMase from Freeport, Betty Williams from Baldwin, Muriel Nolan from Rockville Centre, Grace Rosalbo from Rockville Centre and Mary Esposito, also from Rockville Centre.

Grace said they all look forward to the “mini-reunions” which they try to have every month, to catch up on all the news.
