On Feb. 28, fourth and fifth grade Watson Elementary School students had the opportunity to learn about New York State government from Assemblyman Brain Curran. He visited the school to present first-hand information on how New York state government operates.
Curran gave a lively and interactive presentation that detailed the process by which a bill becomes a law. He then divided students into Assembly and Senate teams and engaged them in a friendly competition regarding the legislature.
