Rockville Centre resident Sarah Richman was awarded The Long Island Arts Alliance Scholar-Artist Award of Merit for Dance at a presentation event on Sept.14 at the Usdan Center for the Performing Arts. Sarah is a senior who attends both South Side High School and the Long Island High School for the Arts where she studies dance. Each year, top high school seniors who are nominated by their school districts, and then selected for the honor by arts educators and community leaders, are recognized as “the best of the best” on Long Island. Another award ceremony will take place in the spring at Long Island Arts Alliance Gala Reception and Concert at the Tilles Center.
