The family never revealed where the body parts came from, but the McCurrys do have a small graveyard in their backyard - at least they did for Halloween. Maybe the eyeballs belonged to "A. Ghoul" and the intestines to "Izzy Dead" or "Will B. Under."
For the second Halloween in a row, the Valley Stream family has created and hosted a haunted walk in the backyard of their Rockaway Avenue house. The McCurrys, Darrell, Terry, LeeAnn, 13, Thomas, 11, and Terry's sister, Ann DeMuth, asked visitors six and older for a $1 donation. All money raised will go to benefit the Kevin Brown Fund and will be used toward the purchase of a headstone. Brown died July 14, 2002 after accidentally touching the third rail of the Long Island Rail Road tracks located behind Greis Park in Lynbrook. Brown had just completed the fourth grade at the William L. Buck School.
Nancy Brown, Kevin's mom, stopped by the McCurrys in support of their efforts.
Family friend Chris Bove also helped create the ghostly atmosphere.
