The Jewish Community Center of West Hempstead will present a Wexler Endowment Lecture featuring Rabbi Daniel Goldfarb on May 31. The Kiwanis Club of West Hempstead will be hosting their Annual Pancake breakfast on Sunday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at the West HempsteadÊHigh School cafeteria. The Board of Trustees of the West Hempstead Community Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce that the funds annual dinner will be held on Sunday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Nassau County Bar Association in Garden City. The scholarship recipients for 2008 will receive their awards at the dinner, which is not only a tribute to the students and their families, but also the funds major fundraising event. This years dinner will feature a Raffle drawing for several exciting prizes. The grand prize is two tickets to a New York Giants game, first prize is four tickets to a Long Island Ducks game, second prize is two tickets to the New York Philharmonic and third prize is a basket of cheer. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and are currently being sold throughout the community by members of the Board of Trustees.
