Alan K. Kidder, a native of Swanton, Vt. and longtime Rockville Centre resident, died on the morning of Nov. 6 at his home. He was 91.

A former manager of Queensboro Farms Products, he was a longtime communicant of St. Agnes Parish. A 1942 graduate of Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vt., Kidder served during WWII as a 2nd Lieutenant with the U.S. Army 8th Air Force, flying 30 missions in Europe. He was married on Sept. 13, 1947 to Kathryn Agnes Sherry, who predeceased him on Aug. 1, 1996.

He is survived by three children: Alan J. and his wife Elizabeth Kidder of Jackson Heights, Sherry Kidder, and Clare K. and her husband Dan Beck, all of Rockville Centre. He is also survived by four grand children: Eileen K. and her husband Josh Kachuck, and Matthew, Rachel and Michaela Beck and several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousin and dear friends.

A funeral mass and interment were held in Swanton, Vt. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Anne’s Shrine, 92 St. Anne’s Rd., Isle La Motte, VT 05463.
