All dressed up with some place to go

Prom dresses of different hues and lengths were on display, adding vivid color to the neighborhood, and pre- prom parties sprouted like toadstools after a spring rain. South Side High School celebrated its annual prom which took place at Carltun on the Park. Seniors got together one last time to commemorate their imminent graduation and the teachers, faculty and classmates that they shared for the past four years. Old memories were explored, and new ones were created.
After dinner and dancing, the Class of 2008 continued its party with PTA-sponsored post-prom festivities at Dave and Busters in Farmingdale. The post-prom event offered games, food and prizes for all who attended. Students listened anxiously to the loud speaker hoping their names were called for the many prizes students won during the party. The post-prom party lasted until 3 a.m., and afterwards, seniors were sent back to local homes to rest up and prepare for their graduation that took place the following day.
