All VS school budgets pass; Nesbeth elected in District 13

District 13's budget
      Valley Stream District 13's proposed $27,365,155 budget passed with 936 for and 508 against.
      By school voting place in District 13, Dever's vote was 317 for, 136 against. Howell Rd.'s vote was 157 for to 92 against. Wheeler Ave.'s was 236 for, 165 against. Willow Rd.'s vote was 226 for, 115 against.
      District 13's budget passed with 65 percent of the vote. The high school district budget passed in District 13 with 62 percent of the vote.

District 24's budget
      Valley Stream District 24's proposed $16,951,489 budget passed with 605 votes for to 311 against.
      By school, Brooklyn had 89 for, 65 against. Buck had 214 for, 115 against. Carbonaro had 243 for, 87 against. Corona Ave. firehouse had 59 for, 44 against.
      District 24's budget passed with 66 percent of the vote. The high school district budget passed in District 24 with 65.9 percent of the vote.

District 30's budget
      Valley Stream District 30's proposed $19,238,929 budget passed with 681 votes for to 257 against.
      By school, Clear Stream had 175 votes for, 79 against. Forest had 274 for, 62 against. Shaw had 232, 116 against.
      District 30's budget passed with over 72.5 percent of the vote. The high school district budget passed in District 30 with 71.2 percent of the vote.

School Board elections
      In District 30's contested election for school board member, Walter A. Nesbeth III won with 471 votes over Hendrick Colbert who received 255 votes.
      In uncontested elections:
      District 30's Andrew J. Walters received 641 votes.
      In District 13, Frank Chiachiere received 1,010 votes, Cathy Subbiondo got 919 votes and Valerie Clerico received 925 votes.
      In District 24, Paul DePace received 669 votes, Carole Meaney got 687 votes and Henrietta Carbonaro got 677 votes.

Resolution in Dist. 13
      District 13's resolution regarding continuous registration throughout the year passed by a vote of 1,032 to 396.
