Center for Science, at Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre, us a 17-acre preserve complete with ponds, nature trails, and a fishing pier. The facility features a science lab for kids and a wildlife rescue center. Run by the Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to science education, the Center for Science offers year-round activities for kids. REACH FOR THE STARS TEEN TALENT SEARCH returns to Eisenhower Park this summer, with a competition for solo and group vocal talent only, for ages 13-19. One hundred and twenty contestants will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis from applications received; postmarked by July 1. Contestants will be notified by phone of audition date. Auditions will be by appointment only. There will be no open call. Finals will be held Aug.8. Applications must be accompanied by copies of proofs of age and Nassau County residency, as well as photo ID. Originals of all proofs must be presented at audition. Obtain applications any Nassau County park or museum, and all libraries, or through your school district.
