Center for Science at Tanglewood Preserve, Rockville Centre, is a 17-acre preserve complete with ponds, nature trails, and a fishing pier. Run by the Center for Science Teaching and Learning, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to science education, the Center for Science offers an array of activities for children and adults year round. Picasso and the School of Paris examines the crucial role that Paris played in the development of modernism. It presents the works of Picasso and other artists, including Matisse, Vlaminck, Dufy, Braque, Gris, Chagall, and de Chirico. The School of Paris, from 1900 to 1950, encompassed an array of artistic movements which followed Impressionism and which was centered in Paris. Through February 4.
