archival to contemporary: six decades of the sculptors guild is an exhibition of the works by members of the Sculptors Guild, who have enriched New York's cultural landscape for more than six decades. Reginald Marsh is original retrospective of the artist's work, organized by Nassau County Musem of Art Director Constance Schwartz and Curator Franklin Hill Perrell. Marsh, along with Edward Hopper, ranks tops among artists who depicted 20th-century American life. He created beautiful and provocative representations of New York's colorfully flamboyant settings and characters. Through May 14. Infamous New York: Bosses, Burlesque & Mayhem is an original examination of how New York's vital character of notoriety arose from the tensions wrought by crowding, crime, corruption and mayhem from the end of World War I into the 1950s, as New York evolved into a world capital.
