One exhibitor worth checking out is Worn to Perfection, a Huntington-based jewelry dealer who features the best of Victorian, Art Deco, 40's & 50's jewelry, and collectibles. Now, for something completely different, try a visit to Southampton, on the following weekend, July 30-31. Besides Southampton's huge estates and chic stores, it's home to an "Old Fashioned Country Flea Market." This is much more than just another antiques show, according to promoter John Bruno, because it is "the only true country flea market in downstate New York and the Hamptons."A benefit for the Southampton Elks, each day presents a new group of dealers and vendors who set up shop on Elk's Field on Country Road 39, to offer everything from fine antiques and collectibles to fresh farm produce. Sellers come from across the region with an vast selection of wares, including memorabilia, flea market finds, attic treasures, gardening goodies, and vintage collectibles. You can find items that are new, old and in-between. For those vintage clothing lovers, there's a wealth of fashions to explore, along with newer looks. Every booth presents an opportunity to find a treasure! Featuring everything under the sun, the fair's motto is "If you can't find it here, you don't need it! Whether you're just in the mood to browse and check out the scene, or seriously shopping for that special something, these shows have something for everyone.

Southampton Old-Fashioned Country Flea Market


Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. $2 admission per person. Held rain or shine. Elk's Field, 605 Sunrise Hwy. (Rte. 27), Southampton.
