Concert. The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Hempstead are sponsoring a free concert of Rock n' Roll in the East Meadow town square, at the corner of East Meadow and Prospect Avenues, Sunday, June 5 at 1 p.m. Those who attend should bring lawn chairs. Two other concerts are set for July 10 and Aug. 7. The chamber is looking for business sponsors for the entire series, at $25 a sponsor. Blood drive. Temple Sholom is holding a blood drive Monday, June 6 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the nearby Community Reform Temple, 712 The Plain Road. Donors must be between 17 and 75 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, have a valid ID, and know their Social Security number. Golf outing. Temple Emanu-El of East Meadow is holding its inaugural Fred Blumenkranz Memorial Golf Classic June 7 at the Hamlet Wind Watch Golf and Country Club. There will be a continental breakfast at 6:30 a.m., tee off at 7:30 a.m., cocktails at 12:30 p.m. and a luncheon at 1:30 p.m. Golfer registration is $175 per person or $650 per foursome. Kiwanis meetings. The East Meadow Kiwanis, a chapter of the international charity organization, is always looking for new members. Knights of Pythias. The Knights of Pythias Alliance-East Meadow Lodge 774 is seeking new members to join its ranks. Infertility support. The East Meadow-based National Infertility Network Exchange (NINE) is now forming peer-led support groups. Elaine Baruch will be leading a discussion on Geraldine Brooks' novel "Year of Wonders" Thursday, June 16 at 12:30 p.m. The story follows Anna, a housemaid in the year 1666, as she chronicles the saga of her townsmen after they agree to quarantine themselves so the plague won't spread beyond their borders.

Education and support groups for men with prostate cancer are being held at Nassau University Medical Center. Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month.
Mothers helping mothers. The Sunrise Mother's Center, a non-profit, non-sectarian, member-run organization of mothers helping mothers. The center is a place for mothers to meet and develop new or existing skills. Discussion groups, committee work and special events, as well as a Time for Two program for children ages 12 months to 3 years old and their caregivers are also available.
