Arrested for grand larceny from Lynbrook company

Police arrested a Rockville Centre man last Friday in connection with a grand larceny incident at a Lynbrook company.

According to the Nassau County Major Case Bureau, Robert Cosme, 25, of Sunrise Highway, while employed by Ace North Shore Door Inc., located at 207 Vincent Avenue, Lynbrook, took checks from the business checkbook between April and July of this year. Police said that Cosme cashed the checks at various check-cashing establishments, totaling more than $18,000.

Cosme surrendered to Crimes Against Property detectives on Dec. 11. He was charged with grand larceny in the 3rd degree, and four counts of possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree. He was arraigned on Dec. 11 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Arrests


A 21-year-old man, of Lynbrook, was arrested for DWI at the intersection of Courtenay Road and Cherry Lane in Hempstead on Dec. 4 at 2 a.m.

A 22-year-old woman, of East Rockaway, was arrested on Dec. 7 at 8:30 p.m. in an operation by Lynbrook Detectives in which she sold alcoholic beverages to a minor at The Barn convenience store at 241 Hempstead Ave. She was subsequently charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.

On Dec. 8 at 7:50 p.m., A 31-year-old, of Germantown, NY was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Doxsey Place. He was also charged with outstanding warrants from Lynbrook Village Court and the New York City Police Department.

A 33-year-old man, of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Doxsey Place on Dec. 8 at 8 p.m.
On Dec. 8 at 8:30 p.m., Shereen Eltabib, 28, of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (Oxycodone), on Scranton Avenue.

On Dec. 13 at 9 a.m., a 27-year-old man, of Oceanside, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (Heroin), and insufficient stop lamps on Sunrise Highway.

Criminal mischief

It was reported that someone painted across a white fence on a property on Denton Avenue in East Rockaway on Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m.

The rear windshield of a car parked at the intersection of Atlantic and Rockland avenues in East Rockaway was damaged on Dec. 8 between noon and 12:40 p.m.
