Hit and run
Cops are looking for the driver of a car that crashed into a West Hempstead home Sunday morning and then fled the scene.
The black sports car was traveling down Dogwood Avenue at 5:10 a.m. on March 13 when it veered off the road and straight into the side of a house on the corner of Western Park Drive, waking occupants of the home.
Police said the driver abandoned the car and fled the scene before firefighters arrived. None of the occupants of the home were injured in the crash. The car was impounded and an investigation is ongoing.
