Sofrito!

Join storyteller David Gonzalez, above, with Larry Harlow and the Latin Legends Band in "Sofrito!," an an hour-long show for kids at the Tilles Center October 27. Geared toward children ages 5 - 9, the performance will feature stories such as the Puerto Rican legend of the healer Milomaki, and a Dominican tale of a girl who befriends a bewitched goldfish. Tony Bennett

A star of the popular music set for more than 50 years, Tony Bennett is teaming up with the Ralph Sharon Trio in Gala XXI at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on Oct. 20. The gala is the Tilles Center's major fundraiser of the year and one of Long Island's most glittering social events. Bennett is known for several hits of the fifties, including the songs "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" and "Stranger in Paradise." Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, C.W.
