Miami Ballet

The Miami City Ballet (above) appears at the Tilles Center on April 20. Organized by former New York City ballet dancer Edward Villella, the Miami-based ballet troupe will perform classics by Balanchine and Ashton, as well as "Mambo No. 2 am," in which a poet uses ballroom dance styles of the past 50 years to reflect on his experiences of the same period. "Rails and Tales"

Part of the Family Concert series at Carnegie Hall, "Rails and Tales" will feature music about trains, with many pieces based on historical stories and myths surrounding the railroad. Conducted by John Morris Russell, the Orchestra of St. Luke's will mix both classical and popular music.
