Vladimir Fedoseyev

The Vienna Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by its music director and chief conductor,Vladimir Fedeoseyev. On the program are Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, Schubert's Symphony No. 9, and Wagner's Overture to Faust (The Great). Now celebrating its centennial year, the Symphony is Vienna's only full-time symphony orchestra and is widely regarded as one of world's greatest symphonic ensembles.Vladimir Fedoseyev has helped raise the profile of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra through touring initiatives and world premiere performances. 'Here we go..into the wild blue yonder'

The United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants from Washington, D.C. will present a special free concert. Combining the best-of-the-best in musica talent and education within the US Air Force, the critically acclaimed US Air Force Band has toured throughout the world. The conductor has scheduled a wide variety of selections from opera and classical music to popular favorites including folk songs, jazz, and excerpts from musical theater. Tilles Center. Culture Kids

Celebrating the humanities

How do they do that?


Ship-in-a-Bottle techniques employed by seamen who created model ships inside of bottles is the subject of a children's workshop. Pollock to Wyeth

Looking forward

A special exhibition "Toward the New: American Abstract Artists" traces the history of the American Abstract Artists, a revolutionary group founded in 1936.
