Doing the kind of search required to find just that table and chairs would be like hiring a private detective to find a long lost relative. But, I do have suggestions that make the whole process much simpler. Like you, I am particular about certain things, and I spent years of casual, unhurried, searching to find just the dining room set I wanted. Wouldn't you know that the day I found the right pieces, a moving van pulled up and out came my mother-in-law's knick-knacks and a dining room table set.So I have settled, but still know that to get what you want requires determination, a lot of patience, and the willingness to pay for what you want once you find it. You could go to antique emporiums, but what are the chances of finding the right size table. You could check with furniture dealers who frequent the volume manufacturer's expositions and outlets around the country. You could even go to High Point, North Carolina yourself and check in the retail stores, since the exposition center is for trade professionals only.Or, you could do what I may still do if I can part with the Ming Dynasty (nasty being the key term here) style table, and that is to go to a furniture maker. You can get exactly what you want from someone who can produce the most exquisite details you desire. You can even adjust the sizes of the table and the chairs so that they fit the space. The last thing I can suggest is to find the name of the manufacturer and have someone do a search on the internet. I found that there are over 262,000 sites on the web for furniture. There is a site called "Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library" in High Point, but also on the web, where you can find information. You can also call them, at (336) 883-4011, with questions. You would be amazed at what is available, but from just a picture, I could only imagine things I have seen. You do have nice taste in furniture and your search will be worth the effort. Good luck. Readers are encouraged to send questions to: HERALD Homes, 379 Central Avenue, P.O.
