Blood drive Franklin Hospital & Long Island Blood Services will be holding its final blood drive for 2005 on Wednesday, Dec. 28 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the hospital's Shankman Auditorium. Hospital staff strongly encourages the community to join with its employees in donating blood. Individuals age 16 (parental consent required) to 76, weighing at least 110 pounds and who are in general good health, are eligible to donate. A photo ID is required at the time of donation, at which time honors will also receive a free mini-medical exam that includes checking temperature, pulse, blood pressure and iron count. Comp Time Are you a computer whiz? Would you like to show off your skills? The library is looking for teen volunteers to teach senior citizens how to use the Internet, how to log on and shut down, how to use the library catalog and databases and how to send and receive e-mail. The program will take place every Saturday, September through December. The instructor and student set the appointment hour at times convenient to them.
Homework Help The autumn semester has begun and so has Homework Help at the Lakeview Library. Every Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., children in grades K-12 are invited to attend instructional sessions with certified New York State teachers.
