Atlantic Avenue is site of serious motorcycle crash

A serious motorcycle accident occurred last Thursday, June 7, at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Verity Lane. For unknown reasons the driver of a motorcycle hit a telephone pole so hard the motor was ripped out of his vehicle. Baldwin Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid. They later reported the driver was transported to the hospital with head, neck, chest and arm injuries. The F.D. also reported that a second individual, a pregnant female, was transported to the hospital with pain. One of the drivers was also arrested in conjunction with the accident and a crime scene was established at the site of the crash. Details have not been disclosed as to the involved individuals' identities or their current conditions.
