Atria Tanglewood residents welcomed “Conductorcise” creator David Dworkin

On January 9, Atria Tanglewood had the pleasure of experiencing renowned conductor and creator of “Conductorcise,” David Dworkin, at work.
Dworkin, a seasoned orchestral conductor, has been the maestro for many different productions, including the Manhattan Symphony Orchestra.

He has performed throughout the U.S. and abroad. Upon retirement, he wanted to bring the positive effects of his work to the masses — and has done so by creating this physical fitness program designed to bring the musical, aerobic, and educational aspects of his vocation to people. Conductorcise has been an amazing success for seniors all over the country, as it incorporates the beauty of classical music, with simple yet effective physical exercise.

The residents at Atria Tanglewood could not have been more excited or pleased with Dworkin’s performance, and their enthusiasm was evident.

“He’s excellent, I feel great!” exclaimed Eva Lewin, a resident at Tanglewood.

Dworkin’s program was one of the many special events Atria Tanglewood has planned in honor of Resident Recognition month, which is celebrated every January.  In addition, the residents have had a Winter Wonderland Music program and will also take part in “Casino Night,” when they will play traditional casino games and being entertained by “Elvis Presley.”

The culmination of Resident Recognition Month will be a simultaneous toast among all Atria residents in the United States on Thursday, January 26 at 4 p.m. EST.  This will be the Tanglewood employees way of honoring each and every resident at the community, who bring joy and purpose to their lives.
