Board game night at the library

Teenagers in grades 6 – 12 can play various board games, such as Jenga and Sorry! on Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded. Learn to use OverDrive in Elmont

Todd Schlitt will teach guests how to use OverDrive, a free service at the Elmont Memorial Library that lets guests borrow digital books, on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. Guests will learn how to download and set up the OverDrive app, how to use the app to connect with the library and how to borrow ebooks and audio books on your mobile device. The Brooklyn-based quasi-collective has gone from a best-kept secret to one of the biggest bands on the international scene. Labor Day weekend in the gardens
