According to detectives, two men and a woman approached a 15-year-old boy, from behind as the victim walked through the field behind Baldwin Museum on Grand Ave. One of the subjects punched the victim about the head and face while the other two subjects went through the victim's pockets, taking an undisclosed amount of cash and a cell phone. The subjects then fled the scene.
The victim, who suffered contusions and pain, refused immediate medical attention.

Freeport woman
arrested for assault
Detectives report that Tammie Robinson, 33, of Liberty Park, stabbed her boyfriend, 47, in the left leg with a knife during an altercation on East Merrick Rd. at Liberty Ave. The incident occurred on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 6:50 p.m.
Freeport police officers responded to the call and placed Robinson under arrest. The knife was recovered at the scene.
A Stewart Manor Fire Department Ambulance transported the victim to Nassau University Medical Center where he was admitted into surgery for a lacerated artery. He is listed in critical condition.
Robinson was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of harassment in the second degree. She was arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead, on Sunday, Aug. 29.
