According to police, Anthony Marshall, 32, of Massapequa, would hold private one-on-one lessons with students, telling them it would help with their singing.
"Under the guise of giving them things to do to help with their singing, he would touch their abdomen and then fondle them." Det. Sgt. Richard Zito, a representative from the Nassau County Police Department's Special Victims Squad, said.
According to police, three alleged victims have come forward. The boys, who were between the ages of 14 and 17 when they were allegedly violated by Marshall, did not report the alleged abuse at the same time, police said.
According to Zito, the first victim spoke to police in July after talking with the second victim about his experience. The second victim spoke to police shortly afterward and the third victim came forward about a month ago, Zito said.
Zito said it is unclear whether or not these are the only incidents of abuse involving Marshall. If there are any other victims, they should contact the Special Victims Squad, he said.
Marshall was arrested on Oct. 21 at 10:45 p.m. at his Massapequa home, and was charged with three counts of forcible touching and sexual abuse in the third degree, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned on Oct. 22 in First District Court in Hempstead, and pleaded not guilty. He was later released.
