Evans Saintune, identified by police as a 48-year-old Baldwin resident from Centennial Avenue, was arrested July 4 around 4:20 p.m. on charges of intentionally setting two fires at his residence. Further details have yet to be released in the case, but a police report says Saintune is being charged with “arson in the fourth degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.” He will be arraigned at first District Court in Hempstead on July 5.
