Julia Baxley and Maria Brunetta, sixth graders at South Side Middle School, in the back row, far right, organized their second annual basket filling event to support the Adopt A Family program in Rockville Centre. Along with 25 other SSMS 6th grade girls, they filled and wrapped 37 baskets with necessities for needy local families. All of the items were donated by the girls who came to the Rec Center to help fill and wrap the baskets, and the baskets will be delivered to the families by Christmas.
