The Patriotic Display Initiative, hosted by the Town of Oyster Bay, sought to unite residents through expressions of American spirit by decorating their homes in red, white and blue with lights, flags or other decorations from July 1 to 14. The town also illuminated Town Hall in those colors.

For their great show of American Spirit, the following residents will be awarded complimentary beach passes for the 2021 season based on their participation and display of patriotism:

  • Lawrence Guerra, of Bayville
  • Corinne Pleta, of Massapequa
  • John and Cathy Bialous, of Massapequa

“We thank residents for participating in this competition and for displaying their patriotism through decorations and celebrations of democracy,” Councilwoman Laura Maier said. “In these unprecedented times, it was so refreshing to see families and neighbors come together to exhibit their patriotic spirit.”
