Hempstead town keeps beaches, pools and splash pads open through September

The Town of Hempstead said that its pools, splash pads, and beaches remain open throughout near the end of September.

Swimming Pools: Echo Park Outdoor Pool, weekends through Sept. 27; Sands Senior Pool, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Sept. 25.

Splash Pads: Baldwin Park, Coes Neck Park, Elmont Park, Seamans Neck Park, and Shell Creek Park, daily through Sept. 27; Bluegrass Lane Pool Splash Pad, weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Beaches: Point Lookout, Lido Beach, Lido West, and Malibu Shore Club, weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Point Lookout closed Sept. 20 for the Fall Finale Car Show).

With trained lifeguards on duty at participating facilities, residents can keep making the most of the warm weather across America’s largest town, Hempsted officials said.
