It's that time of year again! The 14th Annual Bellmore Family Street Festival, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores, is on its way.
The festival, which each year attracts more than 100,000 local residents, is set for Thursday, September 21 through Sunday, September 24.
The chamber is reminding local residents that, because of the fair, the following parking fields will be closed:
*Long Island Rail Road parking field B2 between Bellmore and Bedford Avenues; no parking after midnight on Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24 at 10 P.M.
*LIRR parking field B3 between Bedford and Centre Avenues; no parking after 8 P.M. on Wednesday, September 20 through Monday, September 25 at 6 A.M.
*Parking field B7 behind European American Bank on Grand Avenue; no parking after midnight on Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24 at 10 P.M.
*Parking field B6, the Dellamore parking field, between Bedford and Bellmore Avenues (north of Grand Avenue); no parking after 8 P.M. on Friday, September 22 through Monday, September 24 at 6 A.M.
During the festival, handicapped parking will be available on the northwest corner of Broadway and Bellmore Avenue. All parking fields will reopen for use on Monday morning, September 25.
Robin Karp, the festival coordinator and Bellmore Chamber executive director, said, "We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause."
