The event officially kicked off at 2 p.m. and was preceded by a registration and lunch hour. After the outing, the chamber held a cocktail hour and dinner reception with open bar at Fabio's Ristorante Italiano in East Meadow.
This year's event attracted 47 golfers, and 70 people attended the dinner. All golf participants received a complimentary gift (bag with towels, sleeve of golf balls and a coupon for a bucket of golf balls), and there were a raffle for prizes throughout the night.
Joni Caputo, the chamber's executive assistant, said the Golf Outing serves as fund-raiser for the community, providing moneys for beautification projects. Last year, funds raised from the outing were used to purchase the Bellmore community flags, which are now hung at public libraries, schools and post offices throughout Bellmore.
