The parade and related festivities were co-sponsored by Ridgewood Savings Bank and the Bellmore Village Merchants Association.
The parade began at noon as children assembled at the Bellmore Firehouse on Pettit Avenue and walked through town, led by the Easter Bunny and followed by the Fire Dancers from the New York Dragons.
Participating children were given free helium balloons and plastic eggs filled with candy. After the parade, they were treated to free pizza, courtesy of Tommy's Village Pizzeria or Brooklyn Café, and free ice cream cones, courtesy of International Delight Cafe or Possibilities Unlimited Florist & Gifts.
Children also had the opportunity to have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny, courtesy of April's Fine Baby Apparel.
