Car backs into house

Firefighters responded to a call about a car driving into a house on March 2. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The front steps and the back of the vehicle were damaged.

Nassau County police and the Valley Stream Fire Department responded to the scene of a car that struck a house on Fir Street shortly after 4 p.m. on March 2.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. She struck the front steps of the home with the rear of her vehicle.

Police said they are investigating what caused the crash.
