They are back: Cedarhurst Tuesday concerts return for 26th season

Posted

Beginning on July 11 and ending on Aug. 29, the 26th annual Village of Cedarhurst Tuesday Nite Concerts Under the Gazebo will take place in Andrew J. Parise Cedarhurst Park at the intersection of Cedarhurst and Summit avenues.

The free concerts, a staple of the Five Towns summer season, will kick off with Risky Business performing oldies under the stars. There is typically a children-oriented pre-show at 7 p.m. and the headlining performer or performers start an hour later.

Irish Night is July 18 with Andy Cooney. A week later is Italian Night with Vanessa Racci. A salute to America and military veterans with the American Bombshells is Aug. 1. Rock, pop and doo-wop fans have Barbara Harris on Aug. 8

Jewish Night is Aug. 22 with the band to be announced. Dance the night away with Ladies & Gentlemen to close out the concert series.

Thursday is the rain day for the concerts.

To help sponsor the concerts — Titanium $5,000; Platinum $2,000; Diamond League $1,000; Gold Benefactor $500; and Sterling Patron $250 — make the check payable to Village of Cedarhurst Summer Concerts and send to Cedarhurst Village, 200 Cedarhurst Ave. Cedarhurst N.Y. 11516.
