The St. Agnes Cathedral School gala committee held a kickoff cocktail party early last month in preparation for the 2012 ball, set for Feb. 11 at the Garden City Hotel.

The gala evening honors community members who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to Catholic education and recognizes an educator for outstanding service.

The event promises to be an elegant evening with food, live music and great company. It is a time for the St Agnes school community to thank the 2012 honorees: Hugh and Peggy Finnegan, scheduled to receive the St. Catherine of Siena Award for commitment to Catholic education; Gerald McTague, set to receive the St. Thomas Aquinas Award for ongoing support of Catholic education and Catherine Fitzgerald, who will receive the Elizabeth Anne Seton Award for dedicated service to Catholic education.
