Subhed: Amanda Pechnman
Calhoun's Pechman is president of the National Honor Society, as well as a member of the Spanish Honor Society, New York State Science Honor Society and the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. She was awarded the Good Deeds Award for Long Island Teenagers and the New York District Distinguished Key Club Award in 2006. Pechman has been a member of the Key Club, and the cross-country, winter and spring track teams. She's also volunteered as a tutor for special-education students and at the New York University Child Study Center. And she did research at Rockefeller University this past summer.

Subhed: Michelle Kremer
Kremer is a member of the National Honor Society and an Advanced Placement Scholar, taking all AP classes. She is also president of the variety choir, and she won best soloist in grade 11. Kremer volunteers as a Sunday school teacher for autistic children, and she is a reading tutor for younger children. Her interests also include photography, karate and singing.
Subhed: Linda Zhou
Mepham's Zhou is a member of the English, Spanish, Art and National honor societies. She has also won several awards of distinction, including a Renesslaer Medal, Long Island Science Congress High honors, National Spanish Exam honors and the American Chemical Society Award. Zhou takes part in the culture club, literary art journal and peer tutors, and she has taken piano lessons for 13 years.
