Second-grade students at Centre Avenue Elementary in East Rockaway recently completed a unit of study about bears. They researched and created posters to show what they’ve learned about the animal.

The children are pen pals with Mr Charlie Russell, a bear expert from the Kerulos Centera, a foundation devoted to helping animals. For more information visit www.kerulos.org
