Twelve Malverne families participated in a quickly-organized, door-to-door Christmas caroling session on Dec. 23 to spread Christmas cheer throughout the village.
Linda Baldacchino, youth director of Our Lady of Lourdes church, organized the families into two teams, which split up and visited over a dozen private homes and other areas, like the Sunrise Assisted Living residence in North Lynbrook and the Malverne Police station.
Some were greeted with candy canes and cookies, but all got smiles and lots of holiday spirit delivered right to their front door.
